New Spouse!
Like every spring, the pair of swans in the park are incubating their eggs. But a local swan watcher told me some surprising news.
According to him, this year’s father swan is not the same as last year’s. The former one hasn’t been seen this year — he may have died. So, the female swan has accepted a new mate to start a new family.
Every family has its own story. It might be the same for both swans and humans.

A pair of swans are floating on the Ohori River by KFK Park.
Their cygnet seems to have gone off on its own.

今年の見納めに公園に行ったら、子供（多分）が一羽だけいじけて浮かんでいた。

仲良く、水草を食んでいる白鳥、又親子かと思ったらどうも今日は夫婦みたいだ。
今年は早めにテリトリーから子供（たぶん息子）を追い出したのかな？

一人息子（多分）は大きくなって、もう大きさはお母さんと変わらない。
くちばしの色でかろうじて親子の区別がつく。

□今年も無事に打ち上げ
一時は台風の影響で大会が中止かと危ぶまれたが、午前中に雨も止み、盛大な花火が打ちあがった。来年もまた楽しめますように。

久しぶりに親子を見た。
日中はあんまり暑いので、夕方になってから出てくるみたいだ。

□おおでかくなっている！
公園の白鳥、最近は暑さが厳しいためか、どこか涼しい処に隠れていてなかなか会えない。久しぶりに見つけたら、雛がずいぶん大きくなっていて驚いた。
